I find it odd going back to 4 strings. I was playing a Fender Jazz Precision the other day, and it felt wrong, dropping to E and there not being anything by way of a rest for my thumb. Thanks, bad posture.

Nothing so far. However, I am so new that any comment would be kinda useless, although I am enjoying the learning process again.

I like the increased capabilities of the 5 string. although, i love both my 4 strings, my 5 string sees the most playing time

Jeremy, I agree. Also, I've always used a pick while playing. I like the crisp sound I get but in the last few months I'm starting to use a pick less and less.

i like the finger spacing on a 5 string the strings are closer together so i can get my fingers and thumb in there faster

I have a six string fretless, but there's something about 5 strings that are just cool too play.My main axes are 5 strings.

I don't think there's anything I dislike about 5 string basses. I'll never go back to 4 strings!
